IT’S CHRISTMAS!!! Well, it’s finally publicly acceptable to have all things Christmas decor up! I wanted to show y’all my Holiday Tablescape!
Because of all of the changes we have undergone the last year, I have made the excuse of “taking each season as it comes…” but let’s be real. This year, I’m just very pre-occupied with my three littles and the weeks are FLYING.
Gold is everything this year.
I cannot even explain to you how much I am LOVING gold. We are actually incorporating gold lighting in our kitchen and dining room. I’m a bit nervous but equally excited about that so check back soon to get updated pictures. Or SUBSCRIBE!

Side note – HAVE YOU SEEN TARGET’S HOLIDAY COLLECTION YET?
I can’t get over their gorgeous decor this year. Simple and elegant.
Back to the Gold
I bought the gold flatware on Amazon. After shopping around Target, Walmart, Home Goods, and various other stores I realized the sets were too expensive for my liking. The one from Amazon was definitely the most bang for buck. You can find them here.
Christmas is the BEST reason to have gold everywhere! It’s the time to celebrate our Savior’s birth! And celebrate means GOLD to me!
A round table means a round setting
Having a round table brings me so much joy. Everyone is closer and conversations can be had with all. And you can see the beautiful pedestal!
Our old x-base DIY round table was such a fun build (you can see the DIY here) but I am pretty excited about our next Modern Farmhouse Round Table… that’s another thing to check back for. I’ll drop plans on that by the end of the month!
For the centerpiece, I bought a wreath from Hearth and Home at Target. It was a little bland so I added some red berries (after ripping off the greenery on those) and fresh Eucalyptus from the grocery store. Eucalyptus is a dream because of how wonderful it smells.

Holly or Eucalyptus?
Shortly after I made the original table setting, I discovered holly bushes in our front yard. I had kind of thought they were holly bushes but I didn’t pay much attention to them as we moved in until I noticed the red berries on them! Those are poisonous, don’t eat those.
Once I found the fresh holly, I questioned if I should use that as a table setting instead. I actually put a poll on Instagram so thank you to those who voted!!
Eucalyptus will always prevail
I was pretty pleased seeing that most of you preferred eucalyptus over the holly. Holly is beautiful and such a wonderful symbol of Christmas, but it just didn’t jive with the rest of my stuff.
More Gold.
The last bit of gold I added was the gold bottle opener. That was a wonderful Target find. I’m telling you, Gold is trending like no other and I hope it’s here for the long haul!

Check out some other decor I added to my kitchen below! I want to keep these sweet mini-wreaths up year round – is that acceptable?
Cheers!
