When life gives you lemons, put them everywhere and watch them brighten your day.
I’ve been obsessing over lemons for a couple years now. I think they’re bright and lovely!
It’s January. I get it. But January is the worst month of the year, if we are being honest.
I decided to decorate for spring and summer.
It’s Texas!
It will be warm next month anyway!
This little front outdoor space had two big sad rose bushes. They have been here for probably 15 years.
Rose bushes aren’t my thing. They are beautiful to look at. They hurt to touch.
I have little kids, folks!
I ripped out the rose bushes and replaced the wood mulch that was there with a new rubber mulch.
This little corner is next to our front door and garage. When it rains, the water floods the mulched area.
It was a real pain to have all our wood mulch wash away.
The rubber mulch is heavier and has a 25 year color warranty!
It doesn’t wash away and I can use the blower to blow out most of the leaves from the yard that blow into this tiny corner.
The leaves drive me crazy but what can you do? If you have tips on that, drop a comment!
You may notice the lemon pillow from my back patio last year…
It’s the same pillow! I try to keep my decor minimal so things get shifted around frequently in my house!
