Let me start by saying I love buffalo print. I love to incorporate it in every table setting I do because it has this modern farmhouse feel to it. We aren’t actually hosting Thanksgiving this year but I always like to stare at a decorated table for a few days which is why I put together this tablescape. That’s a word, right?! Anyway, when the table is put together it makes me feel like I have my life together!
Thanksgiving Away
We are spending Thanksgiving in San Antonio this year with a lot of my husband’s family. This is our first year as a family down here in Texas being several hours away from any immediate family. Before we had kids, we would alternate holidays with my family and my husband’s family. Since having kids, especially three of them so close in age (3, 2, and 6 months), it’s a lot more of a task to travel so we are not quite up for the 14 hour drive to Colorado this year.
To be honest, I’m pretty grateful for not having to cook much on Thanksgiving either. Maybe as my babes get older I will find more value in it but at this point in my life, food goes too fast for me to slave away in the kitchen. If given the choice, my kids would choose mac and cheese anyway so why waste the time in the kitchen? Exactly, I don’t.
Fall Farmhouse Tablescape
Most of my table decor is from Hobby Lobby or Target. Easy finds that I keep around year after year. Did I mention how much I love the flameless candles? That was another Hobby Lobby find. Those travel from room to room throughout the year depending on what I am trying to do. Love them.
Crinkly leaves and a candle just give me all the feels. Just by looking at this picture I can already smell the pumpkin pie.
There they are! My buffalo plaid napkins came from Amazon. You can find them here.
I’m going to have to host some kind of Friendsgiving or something considering how adorable this table looks!
I love how this tablescape turned out. What I am even more excited about is our modern round farmhouse table we are building. It’s not ready yet but when it is, you’ll have to come back and check out the plans. In the mean time, you can check out our x-base round farmhouse table!
