Artisan Hardware Metal Barn Door

This post is sponsored by Artisan Hardware however, all opinions are my own.

From the moment we moved into our Ravenstone home, I knew I needed to add barn doors in the home to better accent the high ceilings.

There’s a spot in my living room that is highly visible that currently has pocket doors and a big blank wall.

I NEED to have barn doors for this space but the way the wall is set up, it will take a little remodeling to make barn doors work.

If you want to see that space, check it out here.

I have a vision – let’s see if we can find the time to get to that one in 2021!

The next best place we needed a barn door is actually in our Master leading into the master bath.

We haven’t had a door on our bathroom for over a year.

Fun Fact: every house we have lived in, the master bathroom door got removed almost immediately. I can’t stand a tight space with a door that makes it feel even smaller! Just take off the doooooor!

Here is a before picture without the door installed. We had it sitting up against this wall for so long before install (thanks to life events being thrown at us), that I didn’t even THINK to move the door for a NO door before picture!

We have always built our own doors in the past. Whether it be from scratch, or with a kit from a store.

This time around though, I wanted a metal windowed door. That’s when I reached out to Artisan Hardware about their GORGEOUS DOORS.

They have traditional barn doors, metal doors, and windowed doors that are stunning. All the doors are built custom and let me tell you, it shows! Look at the track on this thing!

Being a DIYer, I take a lot of pride in the quality of my projects. When I received my barn door from Artisan Hardware, I was ELATED. The quality is stellar, it was packed securely (so secure that the freight delivery fella mentioned it was the best packed product he had ever seen! No kidding.), and the install was easy. They send you all the parts along with a QR for online instructions.

From the moment I laid eyes on this thing, I knew I couldn’t ever DIY something this incredible. It’s worth every penny you’ll spend.

Check out the pictures below to see the installed door!

We opted for the wooden back behind the flat track mainly because we only had one stud that aligned with the pre-drilled holes in the metal track.

We are finishing up a kitchen remodel that’s been ongoing for the last several months and I like to think we may do our master bathroom next (did you notice the hanging light in that hallway?).

I’m imagining light hex tile, a free standing tub, and a windowed shower. If we do that, I think the vanities will be a natural wood tone.

Adding the wooden board gave us a ton of stability because we were able to drill into every stud we could find in this doorway.

When you have kids, you need this reassurance. If something could possibly be pulled out of the wall, my kids have done it. I promise (see my instagram for a real example).

I love how tall it makes that space feel. It makes me want a barn door for my bedroom! Unfortunately we don’t have the wall space for that. But I am taking notes for when we build our dream home!

Below is my favorite view. It’s exactly what I see when I am walking into my room and this Artisan Hardware Barndoor compliments the space so wonderfully.

Could you do a windowed door in the bathroom? I have toddlers, so it’s not like I have privacy in the first place!
