I never thought I’d fall in love with a piece of furniture until last week. I have been looking for an accent cabinet for our dining nook for a few weeks with no avail. Everywhere I looked had low accent cabinets that were maybe 36″ tall. On top of that they were about 18″ deep. Until the Fellini Cabinet:
This gorgeous thing was picked up at Furniture Source International. We have a few pieces from them, despite us being such DIY-ers.
Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet when you fall in love with something and have 3 kids and are flipping houses! I had to decide between wanting it NOW or trying to replicate it ourselves in a few months.
Obviously, wanting it right NOW prevailed and I’m so happy it did!
The size of this beauty is about 72 wide, 75 tall, and 13.5 deep. Typically a hutch is pretty bulky which is why I opted for the Fellini cabinet instead.
I had a hutch that was similar in our Ross Lake house but I sold it for a whopping $80 before we moved. It was gorgeous but it simply didn’t fit anywhere I needed it to. That one was about 24″ deep. Pics to come on that one soon!
Look at those handles!
These are a heavy duty metal with a white wash on them. The intricate detail adds a feminine accent to the piece which is what I fell in love with!
Add some gold, it’ll be fun!
Really, though. I have been digging the gold. We changed the lighting in the dining room a couple weeks ago to add a fancy french charm to the space.
The elegant chandelier adds a nice touch to the cabinet. I found it originally on Wayfair but Amazon’s pricing was a bit lower. I even purchased an open box one and saved another $25! I love this chandelier.
I was a little nervous when I purchased it because it is a different look than we have ever done in our home but I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
Wait, there’s more!
The cabinet actually has a purpose, too. I was fine with something pretty and that’s all! But this thing actually has a ton of storage space.
I mentioned on my Instagram when I originally posted this piece that I am stuffing Christmas presents in there while my toddlers don’t realize the doors open! Parenting win!
Next comes paint and floors!
I have a feeling I’ll be painting for weeks, maybe even months. Painting a whole house with a roller is daunting but it will be worth it.

I love your dining room cabinet….. where did you find this?!
Thank you so much!! I found it locally in College Station at a store called Furniture Source International. I believe they also sell their items in some stores in Houston along with shipping some things as well!
