Duchess Bone China Tea Set & Tablescape

Last year I fell in LOVE with this gorgeous Duchess Bone China tea set I found on Etsy.

It was a partial set with a missing tea pot and some missing plates. I didn’t care. This tea set was GORGEOUS.

I scoured the internet to complete my set.

Ebay prevailed!

Turns out, this tea set is from the 1960’s in England. It’s called a Duchess Bone China Tea Set.

Between Etsy and two additional Ebay purchases, I was able to get 8 matching tea cups, saucers, plates, and a cream and sugar bowl. I even hopped on Amazon and found ADORABLE rose teaspoons.

I have been planning on doing an annual Spring Tea with my sisters and friends starting this year, buuuuut it looks like we will have to begin next year due to.. unforeseen circumstances – #quarantine.

Lucky you, I LOVE tablescapes and making a table look pretty!

Here is my simple tea party table (minus all the beautiful goodies I wanted to have)!

I’ve always wanted a forest-y like tea party that was whimsical and romantic.

Can you imagine how SWOON-worthy it would be?

While I had all the stuff out, I decided to piece together a simple floral table setting. It was perfect timing for Easter Dinner too!

I don’t hold on to much.

I’ve been known to get rid of things frequently (thanks Marie Kondo) but this is something I intend on passing down to my little daughter (if she loves it as much as me!).

This year, instead of having a sisters and friends Tea Party, I think I will start the tradition with my sweet Scarlette. I think she’ll like that. I know I will!

What do you think? Do you have a tea set?
