Did y’all see the before picture for this kitchen nook space? It was such a simple project for the whole space but it took FOREVER for us to complete.
Probably because we kept thinking ‘oh it’ll only take a day to do…’
So we took a lot of days to NOT do the nook.

Keep scrolling for the Before…
This was after we started painting the cabinets and had already replaced the countertops.
The real before was a darker, dirty looking granite. You can see the whole before pictures here.
Glad that’s gone!
I was participating in the One Room Challenge but then there was a sudden death in the family.
I ended up taking a long needed break from my blog and IG. I’m still breaking from IG.
I don’t mind that one bit 🙂
What we did:
I removed the cabinet and the weird built in thing that we shoved mail in.
We painted, built a floating shelf, and backsplashed!
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE PICKET TILE?!
This picket tile is from Lowes. It’s soooooo much prettier than the overused subway tile but it’s got the same clean crisp look to it.
I swear it’s the next big thing.
Come back in 2 years and quote me.
I’ve restyled this area twice already. We put the shelf a little higher than we initially wanted but it’s grown on me.
The challenge has been finding a set up that is tall and compliments the space.
The kitchen Conversion Chart I found on Etsy has been my favorite. I printed it in a 16×20 at Walgreens.
Can’t wait to show you the rest of the kitchen! It’s been a long time coming.
