An Elegant Guest Room | Playroom Reveal

Hiiiii! It’s been a LONG hard month since I started on the playroom update.

If you didn’t see my original post on that, check it out here.

When I say doing a project with kids is difficult, I mean it. Lemme say it again:

Projects with kids are nearly impossible.

Three kids in three years has driven me to pay a lot of money for nice hair that I put in a messy bun

EVERY

SINGLE

DAY.

Okay rant over. Back to the playroom.

We have always had a guest room in the house. But let’s be real. We have guests overnight a few times a year.

The kids play in the playroom daily. It was a no brainer for us to utilize the space as a playroom first and then have it double as a guest room.

The couch you see is a pull out couch. We added a memory foam mattress AND a topper to it to make it more comfortable.
Believe it or not, it’s a decent sleep!

Let’s talk about those pillows.

I recently discovered Society 6 while shopping for pillows for my outdoor stuff. The designs are INCREDIBLE.

They have everything you could ever imagine! I now have a ridiculous amount of pillows that I throw off the couch when I sit down.

Did you see the WALLPAPER in this playroom?

I partnered with Livette’s Wallpaper for my accent wall and let me tell you –

I
AM
THRILLED

Before finding them, I searched and searched and searched for a wallpaper I loved. Livette’s had exactly what I wanted.

Because the room is relatively small, I wanted a subtle and flowy design that was removable. Not only does Livette’s have a HUGE amount of design options, they have great customer service.

Next week, I’ll be giving you my tips and tricks on how to best apply the Livette’s Wallpaper!

The next best part of this playroom combo is the Board & Batten.

Or the floors? What about the BUFFET TABLE?

I can’t decide. It’s all so dang good. This has easily turned into my favorite room. The kids toys are in baskets that I tuck under the buffet table if they’re playing in there but those seem to end up rotating spots throughout the house anyway.

The buffet table and tulips were actually bought locally!

The buffet table is from my FAVORITE place to buy furniture. Furniture Source International has the most stunning pieces. That is also where I bought my cabinet that I wrote a whole post on!

Get this:

The tulips are fake. THEY LOOK AND FEEL SO REAL! I bought those from an adorable boutique here in College Station, Texas that is now offering their products online! If you are looking for gorgeous florals, or anything really, check out Corterie Home!

What do y’all think? Would you trust 3 little kids in here or should I banish them to another room? Kidding. Kind of…
